The Department of Commerce with Information Technology organized the Association Inauguration of the department association Unicorn ’25 on 09/08/2025, with the title “Guest Lecture on The Tech-Driven Future of Business and Commerce.” The objective of the programme was to formally inaugurate the association and provide a strong beginning for its various academic and co-curricular activities. As part of the event, a special lecture was delivered to enrich students’ knowledge and offer valuable insights into emerging trends, innovations, and opportunities in the modern business environment, with the aim of inspiring and equipping students to succeed in a rapidly evolving, technology-driven commercial landscape. The session was handled by the resource person Mr. Visvanathan Kannian, Vice President, Simgrosys Consultancy Services, Coimbatore, and a total of 294 students participated in the programme. The event successfully launched the association and laid a strong foundation for its future activities, while the guest lecture enhanced students’ awareness of current and emerging technological trends, deepened their understanding of the impact of technology on business and commerce, and prepared them to effectively adapt to and leverage these innovations in their academic and professional journeys, ultimately motivating them to think critically, embrace change, and position themselves competitively in the global, technology-driven marketplace
