Through webinars like “Teen’s Depression & Coping Strategies,” featuring international experts from institutions like Birla Public School, Doha, students gain a global perspective on developmental psychology.

The department officially launched the “Psychology Association and Samrakshana Counselling Centre,” a dedicated facility providing case history documentation and counseling services to the student community.

Graduates from the department have successfully secured placements in leading organizations such as KGiSL, Sutherland, and TCS, among others, reflecting a strong institutional focus on employability in corporate and clinical sectors.

A section of students have successfully completed Cambridge Business English Certification (BEC) and ICT Academy “Learnathons,” enhancing their global communication and digital literacy alongside their core psychological studies.

The department frequently conducts interdisciplinary sessions, such as the workshop on “Stress Management & Overcoming Behavioral Addiction,” to equip students with coping mechanisms for modern academic and social challenges.

Students participated in a multi-day workshop on “Self-Defense and Counseling,” organized in collaboration with the Aram Foundation Charitable Trust, focusing specifically on women’s mental health and physical resilience.

To bridge the gap between academia and industry, the department held a seminar on “The Role of Psychologists in Current Scenarios,” featuring clinical psychologist Dr. V. Chandramohan, who shared perspectives on emerging career paths.

In observation of World Mental Health Day, the department hosted an extensive exhibition and awareness program, engaging over 1,500 students from various schools and departments to promote psychological well-being.

The department recently organized a specialized seminar on “Counselling Skills and Therapeutic Approaches,” featuring Dr. R.J. Haribabu from the Heartfulness Counselling Center, to provide students with practical insights into clinical practice.
