About the Department

The Department of English at KGCAS was established in 2005. Since then, it has grown into a strong and respected department known for quality education. It offers both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes that meet the needs of today’s industry and academic world. B.A. English Literature was introduced in 2010, and M.A. English Literature was introduced in 2014.

By seamlessly integrating classroom instruction with research engagement, it fostered academic depth alongside intellectual curiosity. A structured emphasis on Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing (LSRW) skills strengthened communicative competence, while an industry-oriented approach enhanced employability and professional readiness. Through the innovative “Campus Inside” model, the department bridged theoretical learning with real-world exposure, empowering students to emerge as confident speakers, creative writers, critical thinkers, and socially responsible citizens prepared for diverse academic and career pathways.
