About the Institution's Innovation Council
KG College of Arts and Science established the Institution's Innovation Council (IIC) in 2018 with a mission to inspire and nurture young minds. The Council encourages students to channel their creative energy into original ideas and to transform those ideas into start-ups and entrepreneurial ventures during their formative academic years.
Functioning under the guidelines of the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell (MIC), AICTE, the IIC at KGCAS serves as a dynamic platform that cultivates innovation, research, and entrepreneurship across departments.
To create a vibrant local innovation ecosystem, the IIC focuses on:
Developing better cognitive ability among students and fostering a culture of creative problem-solving.
Establishing a functional ecosystem for scouting promising ideas and pre-incubating them.
Supporting start-up and entrepreneurship mechanisms within the campus.
Preparing the institution for the Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) framework.

The R&D Idea Club works alongside the IIC to support student and faculty-led research initiatives. The Club is chaired by the same leadership team that oversees the IIC, ensuring seamless coordination between ideation, research, and innovation activities.
