An Awareness Programme on Women's Safety and Security was conducted on 23rd December 2025 to educate students on the prevailing crime scenario, relevant laws and acts, and emerging physical and digital safety challenges. The programme was led by Dr. K. Karthikeyan, IPS, Superintendent of Police, Coimbatore District. The session provided practical insights on identifying unsafe situations, adopting preventive safety measures, and following responsible online practices, while also creating awareness about official reporting platforms such as the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (NCRP) and government initiatives like CEIR and Sanchar Saathi. Special emphasis was placed on the Kavalan App, enabling participants to understand its installation, registration process, SOS alert system, emergency contact features, and real-time connectivity with the Tamil Nadu Police
