About the Industry Partner — FrameBoxx / JD Education & Training

FrameBoxx and JD Education & Training are among India's most respected creative education institutions, with decades of experience in animation, VFX, game development, UI/UX, and digital media training. Through their partnership with KGCAS, they deliver the full B.Sc. Visual Communications curriculum across six structured semesters, culminating in a professionally produced showreel and dedicated placement support.

About The Creative Design & Immersion Lab

A dedicated, industry-powered lab at KGCAS exclusively for B.Sc. Visual Communications students, run entirely by FrameBoxx / JD industry professionals. Students progress through the full creative production pipeline — from digital design and 2D animation through 3D modelling, game and AR/VR development, and motion graphics — using Photoshop, Illustrator, Animate CC, Autodesk Maya, Unity, and After Effects, culminating in a professionally produced showreel and dedicated placement support.

Adobe Photoshop — layers, masking, retouching, compositing, and photo manipulation
Adobe Illustrator — vector drawing, typography, logo design, and illustration
Colour theory, visual hierarchy, and design fundamentals
Digital asset creation for photography, advertising, and visual communication
Introduction to brand identity and visual storytelling

Adobe Animate CC & Maya
Adobe Animate CC — frame-by-frame animation, motion tweens, and interactive animations
Principles of animation — timing, spacing, squash and stretch, anticipation, and follow-through
Autodesk Maya— 3D modelling, rigging basics, and character animation fundamentals
Introduction to the 3D production pipeline — modelling, texturing, lighting, and rendering
Creating short animation sequences and animated assets for visual communication
