Biography

Dr. Kanagaraj Kalimuthu has accomplished the highest academic degree, i.e., Doctor of Philosophy in Commerce under the Faculty of Management at a state-owned university, Alagappa University, Karaikudi, on 12th March 2011. He received the “Best Teacher Award” from Alagappa University Vice Chancellor Dr. A. Ramasamy on 5th September 2007.

Currently, he has been engaging as Professor in the Department of Commerce with Professional Accounting since 4th Feb 2025 and has also served as Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in abroad and Indian universities and colleges for more than two and a half decades. Based on his academic performance abroad, the Dean of the College of Business and Economics appointed him to the Research and Evaluation Committee during 2013–15.

He has completed two major research projects with the financial assistance of the University Grants Commission, New Delhi, and Wollega University, Ethiopia, and has also published two books, i.e., Employment Generation and PMRY Scheme – An Evaluation and Organizational Behaviour, published by Lambert Academic Publishing, Germany, and contributed more than 35 research articles at international, national, and regional levels.

He has served as an External Examiner for the Ph.D. Program at Mother Teresa Women’s University, Kodaikanal; Madurai Kamaraj University, Madurai; Bharathiar University, Coimbatore; and Gandhigram Rural University, Gandhigram.
