Biography

Dr. Padmapriya Dhandapani is an accomplished academician and researcher specializing in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Mining, IoT, and Agricultural Informatics. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor at KG College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore, with over 19.9 years of teaching and 6.5 years of industry and research experience.

She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and has contributed extensively to interdisciplinary research integrating AI with sustainable agriculture, intelligent systems, and data-driven technologies. Dr. Padmapriya has published numerous research papers in international journals and IEEE/Springer conference proceedings and has actively participated in global conferences. She inspires students to embrace innovation-led education, actively participate in hackathons, coding challenges, research-driven projects, and capacity-building initiatives.

Her contributions have been recognized with several prestigious awards, including the Dr. Radhakrishnan Award for Best Teaching and Research Excellence (2023) and the Smart India Hackathon Best Mentor Award (2022). She is also a lifetime member of ISTE and holds NPTEL Elite certifications in Python for Data Science, Software Conceptual Design, and Google Cloud Computing. She has also received two Best Mentor Awards from NPTEL: Certification from IIT Madras.

Dr. Padmapriya guides students toward innovation-driven learning, encouraging participation in hackathons, technical competitions, innovative project development, and skill-building initiatives. Her research focuses on leveraging intelligent computational methodologies, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Science to address real-world challenges in agriculture, sustainability, and emerging digital technologies.
