The Centre for Agri-Business Entrepreneurship Development (CAED) was started in the Year 2014. The College boasts of a significant 25 percent of its collective student strength of over 4000, to hail from agrarian backgrounds over every academic year. The Cell was conceived and instituted to empower this community of students with aspiration, abilities and entrepreneurial inclinations to contribute their might in the growth and development of agriculture, leveraging the advancements in space of digital technologies. The CAED has created an ecosystem of collaboration with agriculture -research institutions, direct linkages with the farming community, incubators and mentors, marketplaces and allied enterprises. All through the year many initiatives and activations are organized by the CAED Cell for the students to feel the challenges real-time and develop an effective and appropriate product Innovations, services, tools and techniques for great agriculture impact.

Vision & Objectives

  • Indian agriculture sector plays a critical role in the economic progress of our country, statistically providing employment and livelihood to over fifty percent of the population, and contributes over 18-19% to the GDP. However, the Agri sector is plagued with many chronic issues and challenges, evidently unremunerative and consequently the agricultural identity crisis.
  • The Cell envisions developing and commercializing effective solutions for greater agricultural impact optimized by digital, Artificial intelligence, IoT, Data Sciences and other emerging technologies.
  • Sustainable Agricultural practises being the need of the hour, the CAED cell strives to impart the science and art of such practices, thus producing the creators and enablers of disruptive and radically transformative agri-solution providers of the future.
