Dr. Ashok Bakthavathsalam founder and managing director of KGISL established the KG Information Systems Private Limited as an IT services and BPO provider which later became a top company in its field. Dr. Ashok Bakthavathsalam earned his Ph.D. degree in Software Engineering which demonstrates his academic ability and his technical proficiency. He pursued his higher education at Anna University where he focused on studying computer science and engineering academic programs.

Dr. Ashok was also instrumental in the development of the CHIL SEZ (Coimbatore Hi-tech Infrastructure Limited), one of the largest IT-specific Special Economic Zones in Tamil Nadu. The World Bank has gone on record and acknowledged Dr. Ashok’s efforts in establishing Coimbatore’s largest IT SEZ and reaching the milestone of ₹50,000 crores in exports.
